Ramona Miranda of Palm Coast Fl., formerly of Nanuet, NY passed away November 7, 2011. She was 82. Ramona was born January 23, 1929 in Puerto Rico to Juan DeJesus and Gabriela (Colon) Benitez. Ramona married the love of her life Hiram Miranda in 1946 and settled in Rockland County to raise their family. They resided in the county for 45 years and in 2008 moved to Palm Coast, Florida. In Ramona's younger years she enjoyed modeling for Gimbels and Macys. She was also a talented seamstress and had a great love for gardening and kept the most beautiful gardens in Rockland County. Ramona managed E.J. Korvette's for 20 years until they closed their doors. She will be remembered as a loving wife, adored mother and Cherished grandmother and great grandmother. Ramona is survived by her husband Hiram Sr., her children Hiram Jr. (Eunice) Miranda, Luis Miranda, Iris Miranda, Irna (Felix Jr.) Padilla, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her brothers Luis DeJesus, Carlos DeJesus, Marcial DeJesus, her sisters Gloria Colon, an Angela DeJesus. Ramona is predeceased by her son Jose Miranda, her grandson baby Miranda and her brother Manuel DeJesus.
